I created this film to confront my feelings of victimization from a similar experience and to seek empowerment in uncomfortable situations. Many men who make women uncomfortable may not realize they’re crossing a line, lacking awareness of the impact of their actions. In contrast, women are acutely aware of that line and how their behavior can attract unwanted attention. Why should women navigate a city in fear while men remain unconcerned? Something Happened highlights this disparity and explores my journey as a victim to reclaim power and envision the world I aspire to live in.
